Position Summary:

Evaluates existing and proposed automated information systems to recommend and design structures consistent with business goals.


Responsibilities of Position:

1. Analyses the data output and input requirements and limitations of smaller systems of user departments or participates with senior personnel in analysis of larger and more critical systems.

2. Translates technical guidance on system designs into applications to business, engineering and manufacturing situations.

3. Applies fundamental concepts and practices of systems analysis.

4. Develops and proposes detailed specifications and flow charts on revised systems.

5. Collects, coordinates and incorporates user input into final design of structure and system.

6. Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

7. May lead and direct the work of others.

8. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

9. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.


Skill Requirements:

1. Regular and predictable attendance.

2. Analyses the data output and input requirements and limitations of user departments or participates with senior personnel in analysis of larger and more critical systems.

3. Translates technical guidance on system designs into applications to business, engineering and manufacturing situations.

4. Applies fundamental concepts and practices of systems analysis.

7. Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.

8. Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

9. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.


Experience Requirements:

1. Knowledge and skills with computer systems analysis and development as typically evidenced by completion of a bachelorâ??s degree in Business, CE or EE.


Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license.


Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.

2. May travel plant and customer sites.


Working Conditions:

1. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.

2. Works at telephone answering equipment and at a PC for hours at a time.

3. Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, cold wet, and fumes/chemicals.

Education:

Bachelorâ??s degree in Business, CE or EE.
